George Oustayiannis began his career in the high-pressure world as a City Broker in London, where his entrepreneurial drive quickly propelled him to
success. Becoming the youngest divisional director in his field, George’s sharp eye for opportunity and relentless ambition set him apart. However, his journey was just beginning. In his 20s, George founded his own import
company GO International, traveling the world to source innovative products. It was during these travels that he stumbled upon an industry that would shape his future—balloons.
Despite his father’s disapproval, George saw potential in an industry that was virtually non-existent at the time. With a characteristic “Why not?” attitude, he
took the leap, spending the majority of his adult life creating and nurturing a business sector that he would come to revolutionise.
As the balloon industry evolved, George witnessed both its highs and lows. While it grew, he became increasingly frustrated with the loss of focus, professionalism, integrity, and direction within the industry he had helped
build. Yet, rather than step back, George has doubled down on his commitment to restoring these values.
Today, George spends much of his time mentoring fellow entrepreneurs and helping them succeed. His recent graduation in Business Mentoring and his position on the Board of Advisors for Hertfordshire University Business School underscore his dedication to fostering business excellence. Additionally, as a member of the Association of Business Mentors and the Institute of Leadership and Management, he continues to shape the future of business leadership.
